Sasha and Nicole were born 6 days and 800 miles apart in September of 1986. They shared a mutual dislike for each other while attending the same high school in Providence, RI, and remained on awkward terms until a friend prompted them to start a band in the winter of 2003. The first Heart2Heart show was in January of 2004 at the Rhode Island School of Design, and it was terrible. Here's a quote about it: "They said 'oops' too much. If 'noise' as a genre means anything valuable, it means never having to say 'oops'. But they were having fun, and maybe they'll go see Kites next time they play and realize how high the bar is for electronic noise performance."
